It is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures and was founded in 1940 as an amimated studio, 1948 as a Television subsidiary and in 1999 as a film studio. The owner is Sony and the product type is Motion Pictures, whilst the 'parents' were Columbia Pictures and more recently Sony Pictures Entertainment.

They have released films such as:

20th Century Fox


20th Century Fox is one of the six most majors Film Companies in America. It was founded in 1935 by Fox Films and 20th Century pictures, therfore the names are merged together. The 'parent' of 20th Century Fox is Fox Entertainment Group.

Some of their releases include:
Home Alone
Star Wars
X-Men
Ice Age
The Simpsons
27 Dresses


Both of these are popular production and distribution companies for Rom Coms and other genres as explained and shown in the examples above.
